Scott is a business owner, director, and consultant with over 25 years’ experience in information technology, finance, and Project Management. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and project controls functions including cost control, manpower planning, cash-flow reporting, and the interface(s) required to manage HR, contracts/procurement, & marketing functions. Scott is an expert user of project management software, Xero Accounting Software, MS Office suite and multiple cloud-based business tools.

Scott was previously founder and CEO of App Advisory which undertook implementation, training & support of Xero accounting software, plus integration of cloud-based software to enhance business processes. Prior to that, Scott was co-founder and Director of Catalyst Cloud Solutions an Adelaide-based Xero cloud accounting software agency and Xero's preferred Trainer for SA/NT, where he assisted range of clients all over Australia transfer to cloud-based accounting software, helping to save them both valuable time and money.

With extensive background in financial and cost control, his recent projects have included:

  • Senior Cost Engineer for Arrow Energy – Gladstone LNG project (AUD$15bn) with responsibility supporting the development of annual work program & budget, developing, and maintaining in-house cost control systems and associated reporting.

  • Senior Cost Engineer for Sakhalin Energy – Sakhalin 2 Project (US$25bn) with responsibility to: analyse primary construction contractor progress to determine reportable value of work done and assess productivity; delivery dates, design change notes & remaining work scope to determine forecast final cost; create and maintain the project risk register; manage the project change control and contingency release process; liaise with contracts engineers & buyer teams; and associated reporting.

  • Senior Cost Controller Worley Parsons Worsley Alumina DCP Project (>$300m) with responsibility to determine and report current budget status, commitments, cost incurred for work done and an evergreen forecast final cost, assess productivity, delivery dates, design change notes & remaining work scope to determine forecast final cost.

  • Cost Control Analyst / Lead Project Auditor ConocoPhillips – Bayu Undan Gas Recycling Project ($1.8bn) responsible for providing daily cost reports to drilling manager & monthly VOWD cost reporting for inclusion in overall project reporting, audit of all project expenditure to ensure validity of payables & within approved scope & budget.

  • Scott has also owned his own businesses in integration of cloud services and automation with a focus on cost control cashflow analysis, budgeting, and management reporting.

  • Scott has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in Management and an MBA.
